CymaScope App 2.0 – main features

In 2015 the first generation CymaScope App broke new ground, enabling music to be visualised in shimmering cymatic beauty.

Today, the next-generation CymaScope App is available—created for a world in which people are far more aware of the healing power of frequencies than a decade ago—a time when the transformative power of sound and light is recognised by millions, and when mainstream medicine is steadily shifting toward a more holistic approach.

This powerful new app reaches far beyond the first generation, combining scientific innovation with practical features, designed to support your journey into frequency healing.

With this new CymaScope app, for the first time ever, sound frequencies can be made visible cymascopically from the low frequency of 27 Hz, all the way up to the astonishingly high 2217 Hz. By way of comparison, the lowest frequency a bass vocalist can sing is around 70 Hz, and the highest frequency a soprano can reach is 1046 Hz, so the new CymaScope app has a bandwidth that extends far beyond the human vocal range in both the low and high registers.

CymaScope App 2.0 main features:

  • Unprecedented frequency range: Visualise sounds from 27 Hz to 2217 Hz, extending far beyond the human vocal range, a new CymaScope standard.
  • Microphone activation mode: Watch dynamic CymaScope imagery emerge in real time as you sing, or play pre-recorded music, or any live music.
  • Easy play twin keyboard: Compose or play a melody and see it made visible. Options are selectable for named notes, or for a clean keyboard.
  • Vocal pitch recognition: Instantly see the musical note you’re singing, perfect for ear training, enabling you to name the notes you are singing.
  • 432 Hz & 440 Hz tuning: Whether your preferred concert pitch is 432 Hz or 440 Hz, both tuning options are on board and easily selectable.
  • Video + image capture: Record and save CymaScope videos, and still shots of any moment, and store in your device’s photo library.
  • Video demo gallery: Watch a demo of the app’s features, and explore mesmerising CymaScope Pro videos by James Stuart Reid.

A free educational library is built into the app, offering knowledge into the healing power of vocal sound, the scientific principles of sound therapy, and many other fascinating topics. Since the articles are hosted online, the library can be updated and evolve as new knowledge unfolds, ensuring that the CymaScope app remains a rich and ever-expanding source of support on your journey in cymatic science and frequency healing.

Also, you can mirror the CymaScope app to a large computer monitor or video projector to share the imagery with a group in real time (Apple devices have mirroring built in; Android-powered devices may need additional proprietary software). Whether you are playing a musical instrument, gong, crystal bowl, singing bowl, didgeridoo or the humble but powerful tuning fork, the app will reveal dynamic CymaScope imagery, from which your group will benefit as the healing energies of sonic frequencies are made visible as light frequencies.

Important note: The Android version of the CymaScope App is suitable for all major brands, e.g., Google, HTC, LG, Motorola, Samsung, Sony, etc., but it may not work properly on generic devices.

Cymatics App for Mobile

Music Made Visible App

See the actual geometry of music for the first time on iPad iPhone, Android smartphone or tablet! The CymaScope app is the world’s first app to make the geometry of piano sounds and music visible. The imagery you will see is not a computer simulation; all the beautiful imagery in the app was created on a physical CymaScope then stored in digital memory for you to enjoy.

Keep the CymaScope app in your pocket at all times on iPhone or Android smartphone or if you prefer a larger screen size use iPad or an Android-powered tablet.

For those interested in the subject of concert pitch, an article on this subject is included in English, Spanish French and German.

Important note: The Android version of the CymaScope App is suitable for all major brands, e.g: Google, HTC, LG, Motorola, Samsung, Sony, etc., but it may not work properly on generic devices.

Some of the CymaScope app’s many great features:

• Play the visible piano notes by the touch-sensitive circular keyboard.

• Use your voice to trigger the visible piano notes—great fun and can be used for voice coaching too.

• Play a live musical instrument or any recorded music to the app and watch the CymaScope imagery unfold in real time.

• Select your favorite concert pitch: 432 Hertz, 440 Hertz or 444 Hertz, and see unique, dynamic imagery from each.

• Have fun with the record feature with which you can record and replay an audio and visual melody of up to 144 notes.

• Experiment with visual projection of the piano notes by connecting a video projector to the iPhone or iPad.

• Choose the 440 Hertz visible piano notes for colorized performance, or the 432 Hertz and 444 Hertz visible piano notes for monochrome study.

• Capture moments of the imagery and share on Facebook or by email, all within the app.

• Save any moment of the imagery to the iPad’s Photo Library—then print a hard copy—great for colorization by children using paints or crayons.

• A MusicMadeVisible video of Debussy’s Clair de Lune in 440 Hertz tuning, played by concert pianist, Daniel Levy, is included.

Who should consider purchasing the CymaScope app?

• Everyone who enjoys seeing and learning about the relationship between sound and form.

• Every musician who would like to experiment with live cymatics (by connecting a video projector to the app).

• Everyone who has been curious to learn about the differences between 432 Hertz and 440 Hertz and 444 Hertz tuning.

• Every parent and every teacher of children: the app can help children learn about sound and cymatics in a fun way.

• The app’s imagery of music or the child’s voice can be screen-grabbed and printed for the child to colorize in paints, pastels or crayons

• Everyone who finds pleasure in seeing the beautiful geometry of sound.
