Electromyography (EMG) is a technique for evaluating and recording the electrical activity produced by skeletal muscles. EMG is performed using an electromyograph to produce a record called an electromyogram. The CymaScope Pro instrument can be used to make EMG signals visible for study. The CymaGlyph shown here is an sEMG (spinal) signal, which revealed a significant vortex. Other sEMG CymaGlyphs in the same series also showed vortexes. The tightly packed and complex water wavelet patterns reveal high frequency data passing through the spinal column.
